3 Weeks old!
The puppies are 3 weeks old and are getting so big! I haven't done a ton of picture taking because the first few weeks they just sleep. Now they are walking, "talking" and starting to escape out of the kiddie pool. This litter seems to be growing so much faster than litters in the past. (maybe I just forgot) We love having these little critters around and plan to go get their collars today and give them their Patriotic names. We know the puppies that already have families have been named but still want to give them a "birth name".
Here are a few pics and videos I just took this morning during their first solid food feeding.
Enjoy and call if you have any questions!!

Here are the most recent picture of Foxy and the puppies. We did lose two of the puppies the first and second day. They were the last two females born and were very weak from birth. So we now have eight healthy puppies with tails cropped and dew claws removed. Six boys and two girls. Two of the males are sold and Ashley (Tristan's mom) Wants a female. So we have 4 boys and 1 female available.
Foxy is a very diligent mother and DOES NOT like to leave their "nest". We have been hand feeding her and forcing her to go to the bathroom. What an amazing sight to see the power of nature and the instinct of a mother. She is a good mommy!

Puppies are Here!!!
We are so excited to announce the birth of 10 black/rust doberman puppies. There are 5 boys and 5 little girls. We are watching them very closely right now. The last 2 females that were born are quite small. We only think it's fitting that since this litter arrived on July 4, 2012, that they be named after our Founding Fathers and other important people in our nations history. Some of the names we are thinking of are :
Washington and Martha
Adams and Abigal
Liberty
Jefferson
Lincoln
Betsy Ross
Justice
Franklin
Abraham....
There are so many to choose from.. I do know that Clinton and Obama will not be on the list...hehehehehe
These pictures are of Foxy during her 18 hours of labor and of the puppies during the first few hours of their lives.
